Car keys stopped being keys a long time ago. A modern one is a cut blade, a transponder chip and a radio transmitter, and all three have to agree with the vehicle before the engine will start. That is why a lost key so often ends with a recovery truck and a long wait at a main dealer.
BW Keys exists to skip that. We are a mobile auto locksmith covering Maidstone and the rest of Kent, and we carry the whole job with us — a key cutting machine, Advanced Diagnostics SMART Pro equipment, lock decoding tools and a working stock of remotes and blades.
The result is that most jobs finish in one visit, at the roadside, for considerably less than a dealership would charge. There is no tow, no courtesy car and no week of waiting for parts.
How we work
You speak to the person who turns up. When you ring, you will be asked for the make, model, year and registration, and what has actually happened — and you will get an honest answer about whether we can help, what it costs and when we can be there.
We ask every customer for proof that the vehicle is theirs before any work starts. A V5, insurance documents or a driving licence matching the address is enough. It takes a moment and it protects everybody.

Proper tools, properly used
Decoding a lock and cutting a blade to code is what makes an all-keys-lost job possible with nothing to copy from. It is skilled work, and it needs equipment that is kept current rather than bought once and forgotten.
